Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 1.80% or 1.720 points to trade at 97.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx PLC (AS:REL) added 1.26% or 0.225 points to end at 18.095 and Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) was up 1.05% or 0.38 points to 36.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which fell 3.83% or 0.446 points to trade at 11.184 at the close. Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) declined 2.86% or 0.067 points to end at 2.272 and Altice NV (AS:ATCA) was down 2.52% or 0.06 points to 2.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 79 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 7.48% to 12.45.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.69% or 1.22 to $73.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.97% or 1.60 to hit $82.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.00 to trade at $1196.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1616, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8901.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.67.
