Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.68% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which rose 1.72% or 1.3000 points to trade at 77.0500 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 1.62% or 0.043 points to end at 2.693 and IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) was up 0.66% or 0.50 points to 76.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 2.04% or 0.260 points to trade at 12.500 at the close. Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) declined 1.71% or 0.068 points to end at 3.908 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was down 1.14% or 0.101 points to 8.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 92 to 39 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.04% or 0.260 to 12.500. Shares in Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.71% or 0.068 to 3.908. Shares in ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.14% or 0.101 to 8.750.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.83% to 20.12 a new 6-months high.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.91% or 0.50 to $54.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.48% or 0.29 to hit $59.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 7.00 to trade at $1483.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1196, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.9221.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.453.
