Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.87% or 0.348 points to trade at 12.488 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 2.02% or 0.170 points to end at 8.576 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was up 0.85% or 0.36 points to 42.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which fell 4.96% or 33.60 points to trade at 643.80 at the close. IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) declined 2.54% or 1.60 points to end at 61.50 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was down 2.19% or 3.350 points to 149.950.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 78 to 51 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 8.93% to 16.35.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.16% or 0.09 to $55.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.23% or 0.14 to hit $60.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 6.25 to trade at $1509.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1087, while EUR/GBP fell 1.04% to 0.9043.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 98.053.
