Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 0.95% or 1.45 points to trade at 153.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) added 0.52% or 0.16 points to end at 30.89 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 0.47% or 0.14 points to 29.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which fell 2.27% or 2.35 points to trade at 101.35 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.56% or 0.35 points to end at 22.13 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was down 1.51% or 0.24 points to 15.37.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 76 to 27 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.86% or 1.28 to $69.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.55% or 1.13 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 5.30 to trade at $2,735.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 103.75.
