Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 3.37% or 0.820 points to trade at 25.140 at the close. Meanwhile, NN Group NV (AS:NN) added 0.44% or 0.15 points to end at 35.47 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was up 0.37% or 0.28 points to 75.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gemalto (AS:GTO), which fell 4.35% or 1.49 points to trade at 32.67 at the close. Altice NV (AS:ATCA) declined 3.38% or 0.36 points to end at 10.30 and Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV (AS:BOSN) was down 2.61% or 0.80 points to 29.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 84 to 43 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altice NV (AS:ATCA) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.38% or 0.36 to 10.30.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.99% to 12.65 a new 1-month high.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.94% or 0.54 to $56.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.75% or 0.48 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 11.47 to trade at $1276.03 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.34.
