Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which rose 1.62% or 0.72 points to trade at 45.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 1.53% or 2.45 points to end at 162.35 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 0.49% or 0.12 points to 24.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NN Group NV (AS:NN), which fell 2.49% or 1.07 points to trade at 41.85 at the close. IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) declined 2.01% or 2.80 points to end at 136.40 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.91% or 14.10 points to 724.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 74 to 29 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.10% or 0.82 to $73.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.12% or 0.86 to hit $76.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 19.14 to trade at $2,684.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 108.93.
