Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate, Healthcare and Construction & Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 1.25% or 0.42 points to trade at 33.53 at the close. Meanwhile, IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) added 0.65% or 0.95 points to end at 147.80 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was up 0.58% or 0.18 points to 31.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which fell 3.13% or 3.80 points to trade at 117.80 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) declined 1.62% or 0.39 points to end at 23.63 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.34% or 11.00 points to 812.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 51 to 51 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.58% or 0.18 to 31.06.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.37% or 1.80 to $74.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.85% or 1.46 to hit $77.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 23.65 to trade at $2,536.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 101.57.
