Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG), which rose 2.00% or 0.49 points to trade at 25.02 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 0.75% or 0.12 points to end at 15.85 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 0.72% or 0.11 points to 15.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 2.08% or 10.80 points to trade at 507.60 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) declined 2.00% or 0.47 points to end at 22.98 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.42% or 8.90 points to 618.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 35 and 5 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.48% or 1.72 to $71.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.30% or 1.68 to hit $74.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 5.90 to trade at $2,743.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 103.79.
