Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which rose 2.40% or 0.064 points to trade at 2.729 at the close. Meanwhile, Unilever NV DRC (AS:UNc) added 2.01% or 0.95 points to end at 48.54 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) was up 0.79% or 0.46 points to 58.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 2.90% or 0.578 points to trade at 19.382 at the close. Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) declined 2.68% or 0.88 points to end at 31.96 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was down 2.60% or 0.286 points to 10.708.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 88 to 43 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) rose to all time highs; up 0.79% or 0.46 to 58.56.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.15% to 12.22 a new 3-months low.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.73% or 0.41 to $56.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.39% or 0.26 to hit $66.25 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1285.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.88% to 1.1205, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8564.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.71% at 97.488.
