Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.41% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Kon (AS:DSMN), which rose 1.66% or 0.91 points to trade at 55.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Philips Kon (AS:PHG) added 1.13% or 0.30 points to end at 26.80 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 1.01% or 0.120 points to 11.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA), which fell 2.05% or 0.124 points to trade at 5.927 at the close. NN Group (AS:NN) declined 1.87% or 0.51 points to end at 26.55 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was down 1.63% or 0.33 points to 19.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 124 to 45 and 11 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 2.16% to 23.84 a new 3-months high.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.72% or 0.77 to $43.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.98% or 0.92 to hit $45.43 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1304.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1118, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8886.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 97.07.
