Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which rose 3.70% or 2.9000 points to trade at 81.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA) added 3.00% or 1.30 points to end at 44.60 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was up 0.80% or 0.90 points to 112.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 3.39% or 4.25 points to trade at 121.00 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) declined 1.07% or 2.20 points to end at 202.80 and Unilever NV (AS:UNA) was down 0.98% or 0.5200 points to 52.3300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 67 to 64 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.39% or 4.25 to 121.00.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 0.15% to 13.16 a new 1-month high.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.57% or 0.33 to $58.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.43% or 0.28 to hit $64.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1429.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1122, while EUR/GBP fell 0.78% to 0.9105.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 97.947.
