Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were NN Group NV (AS:NN), which rose 0.74% or 0.25 points to trade at 34.01 at the close. Meanwhile, SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) added 0.71% or 0.10 points to end at 13.54 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was up 0.53% or 0.400 points to 75.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD), which fell 6.11% or 1.00 points to trade at 15.45 at the close. Randstad Holding NV (AS:RAND) declined 0.83% or 0.41 points to end at 49.02 and Gemalto (AS:GTO) was down 0.76% or 0.35 points to 46.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 72 to 50 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.11% or 1.00 to 15.45.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.89% to 12.54.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.34% or 0.16 to $47.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $52.01 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.26 to trade at $1297.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.69% to 1.1881, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.9223.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 92.66.
