Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which rose 2.85% or 2.3000 points to trade at 82.9000 at the close. Meanwhile, Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) added 1.09% or 0.36 points to end at 33.46 and Royal Dutch Shell PLC Class A (AS:RDSa) was up 0.36% or 0.105 points to 28.985 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which fell 4.62% or 2.30 points to trade at 47.53 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) declined 3.10% or 0.631 points to end at 19.694 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was down 2.21% or 14.80 points to 655.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 77 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) rose to all time highs; up 2.85% or 2.3000 to 82.9000.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.08% to 12.87.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.10% or 0.06 to $57.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.21 to hit $64.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 8.15 to trade at $1426.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1375, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8954.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 95.635.
