Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.31% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 1.92% or 1.620 points to trade at 85.880 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 1.69% or 0.410 points to end at 24.610 and Altice NV (AS:ATCA) was up 1.56% or 0.04 points to 2.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which fell 4.01% or 0.093 points to trade at 2.228 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 2.74% or 4.42 points to end at 156.80 and Royal Dutch Shell PLC Class A (AS:RDSa) was down 0.62% or 0.175 points to 28.200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 75 to 55 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.74% or 4.42 to 156.80.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.12% to 17.93.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.08% or 0.06 to $71.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.57% or 0.46 to hit $79.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1222.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1557, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 94.93.
