Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 4.73% or 2.880 points to trade at 63.780 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) added 2.50% or 0.134 points to end at 5.498 and Aegon (AS:AEGN) was up 0.85% or 0.030 points to 3.552 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NN Group (AS:NN), which fell 0.95% or 0.27 points to trade at 27.60 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 0.81% or 0.090 points to end at 11.060 and Gemalto (AS:GTO) was down 0.81% or 0.51 points to 62.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 98 to 71 and 12 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.29% to 14.51.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.43% or 1.59 to $44.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.13% or 1.49 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.20 to trade at $1342.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1230, while EUR/GBP rose 1.00% to 0.8660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.37.
