Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL), which rose 2.10% or 0.72 points to trade at 35.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Heineken (AS:HEIN) added 0.71% or 0.70 points to end at 99.40 and Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA) was up 0.69% or 0.28 points to 40.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which fell 1.47% or 0.320 points to trade at 21.520 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 0.92% or 0.092 points to end at 9.859 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was down 0.90% or 1.00 points to 109.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 67 to 63 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Heineken (AS:HEIN) rose to all time highs; rising 0.71% or 0.70 to 99.40.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.69% to 12.26.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.79% or 0.45 to $57.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.24% or 0.80 to hit $65.25 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 4.15 to trade at $1401.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.62% to 1.1361, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8923.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 95.765.
