Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 1.26% or 0.192 points to trade at 15.406 at the close. Meanwhile, Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) added 1.20% or 7.80 points to end at 656.60 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was up 0.98% or 0.98 points to 100.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which fell 2.06% or 0.41 points to trade at 19.28 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 1.96% or 0.206 points to end at 10.292 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 1.48% or 0.040 points to 2.660.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 82 to 45 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Heineken (AS:HEIN) rose to all time highs; up 0.98% or 0.98 to 100.70.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 2.11% to 12.01.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.68% or 0.39 to $57.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $64.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.15 to trade at $1397.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1216, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.947.
