Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Construction & Materials, Support Services and Food Producers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 1.58% or 0.50 points to trade at 32.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) added 1.25% or 13.20 points to end at 1,067.60 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 0.97% or 5.40 points to 562.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG), which fell 1.80% or 0.41 points to trade at 22.33 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 1.58% or 1.80 points to end at 112.10 and IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) was down 1.27% or 1.80 points to 140.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 71 to 22 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.78% or 0.59 to $75.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.41% or 0.32 to hit $78.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.13% or 27.55 to trade at $2,459.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.07.
