Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which rose 15.62% or 0.29 points to trade at 2.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 3.00% or 0.076 points to end at 2.613 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was up 1.38% or 1.10 points to 80.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB), which fell 2.55% or 0.81 points to trade at 30.96 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 1.82% or 2.82 points to end at 151.84 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was down 1.45% or 0.56 points to 38.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 83 to 47 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.82% or 2.82 to 151.84.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.47% to 16.62.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.33% or 0.17 to $51.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.42% or 0.25 to hit $59.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1227.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.1321, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 97.110.
