Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which rose 1.20% or 1.25 points to trade at 105.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx PLC (AS:REL) added 0.77% or 0.34 points to end at 44.78 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was up 0.40% or 0.28 points to 70.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which fell 2.39% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.59 at the close. Prosus (AS:PRX) declined 1.78% or 0.74 points to end at 40.51 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was down 1.26% or 0.55 points to 43.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.83% or 0.57 to $68.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.61% or 0.44 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.18% or 31.75 to trade at $2,717.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 106.19.
