Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction & Materials, Support Services and Food Producers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 1.69% or 18.00 points to trade at 1,085.60 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) added 1.65% or 1.95 points to end at 120.00 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) was up 0.91% or 1.35 points to 149.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:HEIN), which fell 1.36% or 1.10 points to trade at 79.72 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.31% or 0.35 points to end at 26.30 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.30% or 10.30 points to 784.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 60 to 44 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Heineken (AS:HEIN) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.36% or 1.10 to 79.72. Shares in DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.65% or 1.95 to 120.00.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.56% or 0.43 to $76.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.32 to hit $79.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 7.15 to trade at $2,470.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.90.
