Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Unilever NV (AS:UNA), which rose 0.81% or 0.4600 points to trade at 57.3900 at the close. Meanwhile, Heineken (AS:HEIN) added 0.80% or 0.78 points to end at 98.34 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 0.52% or 3.40 points to 653.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which fell 5.26% or 4.5356 points to trade at 81.6144 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) declined 1.95% or 0.84 points to end at 42.28 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was down 1.92% or 0.58 points to 29.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 85 to 44 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unilever NV (AS:UNA) rose to all time highs; rising 0.81% or 0.4600 to 57.3900. Shares in NN Group NV (AS:NN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.92% or 0.58 to 29.70.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 3.50% to 16.52.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.14% or 1.18 to $53.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.80% or 0.47 to hit $58.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.72% or 26.35 to trade at $1555.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.0974, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.9065.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 98.873.
