Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA), which rose 1.26% or 0.53 points to trade at 42.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) added 1.18% or 1.0000 points to end at 86.0000 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 0.65% or 0.066 points to 10.276 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 2.00% or 2.65 points to trade at 129.55 at the close. Heineken (AS:HEIN) declined 1.54% or 1.55 points to end at 99.00 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was down 1.49% or 0.55 points to 36.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 57 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) rose to all time highs; rising 1.18% or 1.0000 to 86.0000.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.02% to 12.12.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.24% or 2.45 to $60.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 4.13% or 2.65 to hit $66.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 17.75 to trade at $1418.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1258, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8999.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 96.672.
