Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 1.88% or 0.188 points to trade at 10.186 at the close. Meanwhile, Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) added 1.40% or 0.060 points to end at 4.358 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was up 1.01% or 0.48 points to 47.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:HEIN), which fell 1.68% or 1.66 points to trade at 96.86 at the close. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 1.64% or 1.06 points to end at 63.66 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 1.52% or 0.042 points to 2.724.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 88 to 39 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 0.89% to 13.17.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.24% or 0.14 to $59.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $65.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.55 to trade at $1409.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1366, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8972.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.778.
