Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which rose 2.36% or 1.02 points to trade at 44.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) added 1.53% or 0.09 points to end at 5.96 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 1.40% or 9.20 points to 666.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which fell 2.67% or 4.10 points to trade at 149.35 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) declined 1.89% or 2.20 points to end at 114.20 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was down 1.27% or 0.56 points to 43.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 53 to 48 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.78% or 1.95 to $71.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.57% or 1.91 to hit $76.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 14.15 to trade at $2,753.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.90.
