Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 3.07% or 2.900 points to trade at 97.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) added 1.35% or 0.076 points to end at 5.706 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 0.65% or 0.195 points to 30.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD), which fell 1.80% or 0.332 points to trade at 18.108 at the close. Altice NV (AS:ATCA) declined 1.43% or 0.13 points to end at 8.96 and SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) was down 1.21% or 0.19 points to 15.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 55 and 5 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 8.06% to 11.47.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.97% or 0.64 to $65.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.47% or 1.03 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 12.60 to trade at $1339.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.2360, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 89.32.
