Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which rose 2.77% or 0.071 points to trade at 2.632 at the close. Meanwhile, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) added 1.12% or 1.40 points to end at 125.90 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was up 1.07% or 0.220 points to 20.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:HEIN), which fell 6.34% or 6.53 points to trade at 96.52 at the close. Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) declined 1.46% or 0.54 points to end at 36.41 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.13% or 2.35 points to 206.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 69 to 59 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.33% to 11.67.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.12% or 0.63 to $56.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.36% or 0.23 to hit $63.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.95 to trade at $1422.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1144, while EUR/GBP rose 1.49% to 0.9114.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.803.
