Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which rose 2.74% or 2.2500 points to trade at 84.5000 at the close. Meanwhile, Unilever NV (AS:UNA) added 0.98% or 0.5000 points to end at 51.3000 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 0.39% or 0.16 points to 41.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which fell 1.76% or 0.152 points to trade at 8.495 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.76% or 0.212 points to end at 11.830 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was down 1.29% or 0.41 points to 31.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 77 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.76% or 0.152 to 8.495. Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.76% or 0.212 to 11.830. Shares in ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.29% or 0.41 to 31.41.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.87% to 18.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.64% or 0.35 to $54.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $58.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 8.95 to trade at $1517.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1211, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.9283.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 97.260.
