Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 4.83% or 0.724 points to trade at 15.710 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 2.75% or 0.268 points to end at 9.998 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 1.25% or 8.20 points to 663.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which fell 2.29% or 1.9000 points to trade at 81.0000 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 2.24% or 2.90 points to end at 126.30 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was down 1.18% or 1.30 points to 108.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 67 to 62 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.24% or 2.90 to 126.30.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.44% to 13.05.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.68% or 1.55 to $59.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.36% or 1.52 to hit $65.80 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 4.15 to trade at $1414.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1375, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8960.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 95.683.
