Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Real Estate and Support Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Randstad (AMS:RAND), which rose 1.56% or 0.85 points to trade at 55.44 at the close. Meanwhile, KPN Kon (AMS:KPN) added 1.21% or 0.041 points to end at 3.423 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AMS:UNBP) was up 1.18% or 2.65 points to 227.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gemalto (AMS:GTO), which fell 3.10% or 1.97 points to trade at 61.60 at the close. Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) declined 2.86% or 0.26 points to end at 8.86 and Boskalis Westmin (AMS:BOSN) was down 2.10% or 0.94 points to 44.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 85 to 79 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) fell to all time lows; losing 2.86% or 0.26 to 8.86.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.11% to 33.21.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.59% or 1.63 to $43.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.51% or 1.25 to hit $48.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.80 to trade at $1135.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.1245, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.7346.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 95.80.
