Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 1.33%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 2.98% or 0.248 points to trade at 8.583 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 2.94% or 0.336 points to end at 11.778 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was up 2.81% or 0.86 points to 31.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which fell 15.13% or 11.05 points to trade at 62.00 at the close. Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 107.50 and Royal Dutch Shell PLC Class A (AS:RDSa) was up 0.24% or 0.060 points to 24.890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 98 to 26 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 13.14% to 18.48.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.68% or 0.37 to $54.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.82% or 0.48 to hit $58.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 6.65 to trade at $1524.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1100, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.9134.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 97.998.
