Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL), which rose 4.13% or 1.80 points to trade at 45.37 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 3.23% or 3.16 points to end at 101.10 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 2.11% or 0.90 points to 43.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which fell 0.50% or 0.55 points to trade at 108.55 at the close. Heineken (AS:HEIN) declined 0.24% or 0.18 points to end at 75.32 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 22.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 64 to 40 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Heineken (AS:HEIN) fell to 3-years lows; falling 0.24% or 0.18 to 75.32.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.98% or 0.68 to $69.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.95% or 0.69 to hit $73.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.35 to trade at $2,751.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 104.09.
