Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.73% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 3.27% or 3.60 points to trade at 113.80 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.76% or 21.30 points to end at 792.00 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 2.40% or 13.80 points to 589.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD), which fell 3.50% or 1.09 points to trade at 30.07 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 0.71% or 0.16 points to end at 22.52 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) was down 0.41% or 0.26 points to 63.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 59 to 40 and 11 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.37% or 1.79 to $73.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.21% or 1.75 to hit $77.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 12.60 to trade at $2,663.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.04.
