Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.72% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 3.17% or 4.45 points to trade at 145.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS:PRX) added 1.98% or 0.68 points to end at 35.09 and Exor NV (AS:EXOR) was up 1.94% or 1.75 points to 91.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which fell 0.85% or 6.30 points to trade at 739.10 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 0.51% or 0.08 points to end at 15.88 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) was down 0.47% or 0.70 points to 147.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 74 to 22 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.27% or 0.21 to $77.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.17% or 0.14 to hit $81.15 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 3.84 to trade at $2,754.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 109.13.
