Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 1.86% or 25.40 points to trade at 1,392.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) added 1.74% or 0.77 points to end at 45.06 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 1.45% or 0.64 points to 44.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which fell 4.80% or 2.15 points to trade at 42.68 at the close. Prosus (AS:PRX) declined 1.07% or 0.42 points to end at 38.50 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was down 0.71% or 0.21 points to 29.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 60 to 35 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Relx PLC (AS:REL) rose to all time highs; up 1.45% or 0.64 to 44.92.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $70.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 15.20 to trade at $2,706.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 103.61.
