Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA), which rose 2.82% or 1.16 points to trade at 42.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) added 2.25% or 0.426 points to end at 19.386 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 1.72% or 0.440 points to 26.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akzo Nobel (AS:AKZO), which fell 2.17% or 1.70 points to trade at 76.78 at the close. Altice NV (AS:ATCA) declined 1.73% or 0.04 points to end at 2.33 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was down 1.16% or 0.53 points to 45.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 66 to 58 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Randstad NV (AS:RAND) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.16% or 0.53 to 45.24.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.99% to 14.58.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.65% or 0.48 to $74.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.91% or 0.76 to hit $84.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1191.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1485, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
