Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which rose 2.26% or 13.20 points to trade at 596.40 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.05% or 15.40 points to end at 767.50 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was up 1.61% or 0.71 points to 44.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which fell 2.48% or 0.40 points to trade at 15.65 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) declined 0.43% or 0.50 points to end at 116.25 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) was down 0.17% or 0.04 points to 23.69.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 73 to 27 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.24% or 0.18 to $73.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.49% or 0.38 to hit $76.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.60 to trade at $2,633.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 102.61.
