Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA), which rose 4.52% or 1.74 points to trade at 40.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Altice NV (AS:ATCA) added 3.60% or 0.09 points to end at 2.44 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 2.52% or 0.630 points to 25.635 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NN Group NV (AS:NN), which fell 1.64% or 0.61 points to trade at 36.64 at the close. Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) declined 1.22% or 0.028 points to end at 2.264 and Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) was down 1.06% or 0.056 points to 5.218.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 85 to 40 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.22% or 0.028 to 2.264.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 9.86% to 12.06.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.44% or 0.29 to $65.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.78% or 0.56 to hit $72.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 11.90 to trade at $1196.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1461, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8966.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 95.85.
