Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.54% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 4.12% or 3.400 points to trade at 85.960 at the close. Meanwhile, NN Group NV (AS:NN) added 1.77% or 0.68 points to end at 39.20 and Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA) was up 1.62% or 0.67 points to 41.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which fell 7.25% or 0.62 points to trade at 7.90 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 2.37% or 0.715 points to end at 29.515 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP) was down 0.64% or 1.25 points to 193.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 79 to 34 and 19 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.05% to 11.80.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.85% or 0.61 to $71.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.42% or 0.33 to hit $78.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1288.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1769, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8777.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.62.
