Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which rose 3.44% or 2.6500 points to trade at 79.7000 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 2.36% or 1.50 points to end at 65.08 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 2.31% or 0.470 points to 20.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegon NV (AS:AEGN), which fell 1.48% or 0.058 points to trade at 3.850 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 0.78% or 0.098 points to end at 12.402 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was down 0.67% or 0.21 points to 31.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 66 to 65 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.48% or 0.058 to 3.850. Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) fell to 3-years lows; down 0.78% or 0.098 to 12.402. Shares in NN Group NV (AS:NN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.67% or 0.21 to 31.34.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.09% to 19.70.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 4.79% or 2.57 to $51.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.60% or 2.71 to hit $56.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.11% or 31.25 to trade at $1515.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1210, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.9226.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 97.373.
