Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 4.76% or 1.02 points to trade at 22.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS:PRX) added 4.57% or 1.57 points to end at 35.78 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) was up 2.39% or 0.54 points to 23.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which fell 0.91% or 0.40 points to trade at 43.54 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) declined 0.87% or 0.38 points to end at 43.11 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was down 0.76% or 10.60 points to 1,375.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 54 to 45 and 11 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.41% or 0.99 to $71.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.43% or 1.05 to hit $74.26 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 21.10 to trade at $2,673.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.27.
