Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 2.11% or 0.83 points to trade at 39.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 1.40% or 2.20 points to end at 159.60 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) was up 1.34% or 1.35 points to 101.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Exor NV (AS:EXOR), which fell 3.72% or 3.60 points to trade at 93.05 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 1.44% or 0.23 points to end at 15.62 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 1.21% or 0.04 points to 3.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 53 to 47 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.51% or 1.08 to $72.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.33% or 1.00 to hit $76.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.40 to trade at $2,750.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 103.41.
