Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.33% or 0.47 points to trade at 20.68 at the close. Meanwhile, IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) added 1.59% or 2.20 points to end at 140.80 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was up 1.26% or 0.53 points to 42.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which fell 0.37% or 3.10 points to trade at 829.40 at the close. Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) declined 0.24% or 0.01 points to end at 5.83 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) was down 0.09% or 0.10 points to 115.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 26 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.96% or 1.48 to $74.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.95% or 1.55 to hit $78.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.30 to trade at $2,543.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.80.
