Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX), which rose 1.79% or 0.70 points to trade at 39.71 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) added 1.77% or 2.00 points to end at 114.75 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 1.23% or 0.27 points to 22.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN), which fell 1.11% or 0.07 points to trade at 5.89 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.04% or 0.31 points to end at 29.48 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was down 0.74% or 0.33 points to 44.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 38 and 11 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.84% or 1.29 to $71.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.80% or 1.34 to hit $75.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 1.10 to trade at $2,747.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.08.
