Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG), which rose 2.30% or 0.62 points to trade at 27.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 1.94% or 2.90 points to end at 152.55 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) was up 1.43% or 1.70 points to 120.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prosus (AS:PRX), which fell 1.58% or 0.53 points to trade at 32.62 at the close. Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) declined 0.74% or 0.24 points to end at 32.31 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was down 0.67% or 4.00 points to 589.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 54 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.10% or 0.83 to $74.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.12% or 0.88 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 12.70 to trade at $2,540.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 100.96.
