Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which rose 1.65% or 0.360 points to trade at 22.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 1.58% or 0.67 points to end at 43.12 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was up 1.37% or 1.55 points to 114.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL), which fell 3.80% or 1.21 points to trade at 30.60 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.63% or 0.214 points to end at 12.878 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was down 1.40% or 9.20 points to 649.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 71 to 61 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Relx PLC (AS:REL) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.65% or 0.360 to 22.120. Shares in ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.80% or 1.21 to 30.60.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.11% to 15.96.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.58% or 0.32 to $54.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.03% or 0.61 to hit $58.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 8.70 to trade at $1538.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.0971, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.9094.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.947.
