Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aegon NV (AS:AEGN), which rose 1.51% or 0.078 points to trade at 5.244 at the close. Meanwhile, NN Group NV (AS:NN) added 1.03% or 0.38 points to end at 37.31 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 0.99% or 1.74 points to 177.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which fell 4.28% or 0.11 points to trade at 2.48 at the close. Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) declined 2.33% or 0.86 points to end at 36.08 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) was down 2.17% or 3.92 points to 177.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 74 to 60 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.33% or 0.86 to 36.08. Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.17% or 3.92 to 177.08.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.45% to 13.08.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.32 to $70.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.71% or 0.55 to hit $78.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1207.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1618, while EUR/GBP rose 0.75% to 0.9020.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.06.
