Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which rose 3.11% or 0.650 points to trade at 21.540 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 2.14% or 1.40 points to end at 66.88 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 1.42% or 10.00 points to 711.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which fell 2.21% or 0.058 points to trade at 2.561 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 1.58% or 2.00 points to end at 124.50 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was down 1.54% or 0.54 points to 34.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 65 to 63 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.14% or 1.40 to 66.88. Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.58% or 2.00 to 124.50.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 4.57% to 11.51.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.20% or 0.11 to $56.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $63.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 5.05 to trade at $1419.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1128, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.743.
