Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA), which rose 2.19% or 0.88 points to trade at 41.08 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 2.02% or 0.236 points to end at 11.908 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was up 1.83% or 0.68 points to 37.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which fell 1.01% or 0.900 points to trade at 88.220 at the close. Heineken (AS:HEIN) declined 0.67% or 0.58 points to end at 86.06 and Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) was down 0.65% or 0.24 points to 36.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 78 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.72% to 11.73.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.05% or 0.69 to $66.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.64% or 0.46 to hit $72.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.10 to trade at $1196.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1538, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8965.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 95.37.
