Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV (AS:BOSN), which rose 1.97% or 0.54 points to trade at 27.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Gemalto (AS:GTO) added 1.87% or 0.72 points to end at 39.47 and SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) was up 1.76% or 0.24 points to 14.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relx NV (AS:RELN), which fell 0.79% or 0.140 points to trade at 17.560 at the close. NN Group NV (AS:NN) declined 0.71% or 0.23 points to end at 32.68 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 0.71% or 0.021 points to 2.925.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 62 to 59 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.69% to 13.55.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.17% or 0.57 to $49.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.27% or 0.68 to hit $54.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.68 to trade at $1342.82 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.9136.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.09.
